Red Curtains - Diptych
Red Curtains series examines individual's imprisonment inside hollow lonely spaces within a crowded world and ultimate attempts to reach out and escape this isolation. This diptych is also a reflection on Franz Kafka's novel "The Castle"
We were visiting Philadelphia with a dear friend of mine. As we mingle around some back streets and untouristy sites on a windy November day we come across a vacated building. Immediately she says - look up, you should take a picture of this site! Watch the curtain flapping off of the window - it's screaming "Save Me!" And so I did...
